It's Gerard's World 

The origin of my name Shallow (Shiloh)

Derived from a word meaning peace but my grandmother and my mother call me Shallow after a book and my mother’s former middle school in which he was bullied continuously and that was carried into his high school years .

My journey actually begins in a small pet store located not to far from where I reside now with my family . One warm May afternoon a mother and her son walked in to the pet store and spoke to John, one of the employee at that time. After speaking with John to see what is an appropriate type of dog for people with a handicap condition.

Then John took the mother and the son to where they held us to be sold in the midst of fighting with another dog because they held us in pairs in cages I felt somebody grabbed me by the neck and pass me off to John. He held me like a newborn baby and then he let me stay on the lap of the son where I could not stop leaking his face.

When they decided that I was the one for them John took me away for a quick shower and then I heard the mother say to the son we will be back. Fifteen or twenty minutes later they returned with a name for me and a promise of a better life. While waiting with my new family I heard the mother asked her son what will be my new name?

So he exclaimed to his mother that Shallow will be my new name and I could not asked for anything more. Now I live a comfortable healthy life with Gerard my mister mom and my wonderful grandma and occasionally visiting great aunt.
